Teton Family Encampment Details
Each summer in the Grand Teton mountains near Jackson Hole, Wyoming, believers come together for
outstanding spiritual fellowship, bible classes and preaching. Significant themes and solid speakers build up
Teton Family Camp participants. The gathering is conducted in the beautiful Colter Bay amphitheater beside
Lake Jackson.

The encampment weekday schedule concludes every day at noon. This arrangement leaves the afternoons
and evenings free for family enjoyment at the many recreational areas making it easy to plan a family vacation
around Christian fellowship.

The public facilities at Colter Bay provide several lodging options. The National Park Service campground offers
tent and RV sites on a first come first served basis. But Teton Lodge Company allows reservations at their
lodge rooms, log cabins, tent enclosures, camper and RV sites at a nominal fee. The "tent cabins" not only
have shelter, but also a grill for cooking. Log cabins include indoor bathroom facilities but without the privilege
of cooking. And, nearby Jackson Lodge overlooking Lake Jackson offers first class resort hotel
accommodations. Each family provides their own housing and meals. There are restaurants at Colter Bay,
Jackson Lodge, and at various tourist sites in the National Parks. All cabins, lodge rooms, and camping sites
must be reserved months in advance since people from all over the world come to this area each year to
witness its beauty and enjoy its recreational offerings. The Grand Teton Lodge Company begins accepting
reservations in November. Those planning to attend the next encampment must get their housing or camping
reservations in early.

The encampment is conducted each year beginning the second Sunday in July. The Sunday worship begins at
noon since the amphitheater is tied up Sunday mornings. The camp program continues Monday through
Wednesday mornings, concluding on Wednesday at noon. In addition to the morning preaching and various
classes scheduled, there are other options provided for Christian fellowship including a campfire wiener-roast,
singings, a picnic and a hike.

The teaching offered at the Teton Family Encampment is carefully planned to uphold biblical truths.
Controversialists, whether liberal or legalistic, have not been invited to participate. Some speakers have been
Roy Lanier, Jr., Ron Coleman, Bill Hearn, Jim Dobbs, Mark and Will Hanstein, Guy Orbison, Jr., Richard
Sutton, Tom Wacaster and Ron White. The lessons are designed to encourage one another to remain loyal to
God's Word. Speakers address biblical principles, important topics and texts. Here is an encampment where
families may relax and have confidence that they will hear nothing foreign or destructive to their faith.
A vacation encampment is a great way to enjoy recreation in God's beautiful creation and to build one's faith.
At the Teton Family Encampment, new friendships have grown and developed for eternity. Many who have
attended continue to return each year to renew these acquaintances and to be uplifted in their faith. Though
smaller than some camps, this encampment is abundant in spiritual fellowship.
